El CHCI, PepsiCo y PepsiCo Foundation se asociaron desde la fundación del CHCI en 1978
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) today announced a grant of $ 2.5 million from PepsiCo Foundation to promote its mission to educate and train the next generation of young Latinos. The historic grant is the largest in the nearly 40-year history of CHCI and contributes to the Comprehensive Campaign of the CHCI to create a Center for Leadership of the XXI Century and a legacy program that will also support the largest group of interns from PepsiCo Foundation in CHCI’s history.”I am extremely grateful to PepsiCo Foundation for their generous grant,” Congressman Rubén Hinojosa, CHCI President, said. “The basis of every state is the education of its youth. Each generation is measured by how we prepare our youth to lead the way and keep alive the promise and opportunity of the American dream for future generations. And the need to invest in education and leadership development of Latino youth has never been more critical than now.” The CHCI, PepsiCo Foundation and PepsiCo partnered CHCI from the foundation in 1978 and have transformed the lives of over 500 young Latinos. “We applaud the CHCI for their tremendous efforts to educate, develop and empower Latino youth, and we are proud to support this important organization,” Al Carey, CEO of PepsiCo and executive sponsor of Adelante, the Latino group and Hispanic employees of PepsiCo,” said.
